Situation
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is world-renowned for its efforts in sustainability. The University needed a creative way to showcase its performance on ten sustainability measures ranging from transportation to water and other resources.
Approach
AMF Media Group showcased the results of the university’s extensive environmental commitment in an accessible, aesthetically pleasing package that included writing the annual sustainability report, media releases and story pitches.
Outcome
The package won ADDY and PRSA awards, attracted local media coverage and ultimately became a university tool for recruiting new staff and faculty. AMF had the opportunity to tell the world about it as a presenter at the International Town Gown Association Conference in Boulder, CO — a direct result of the media coverage we garnered.
Deliverables
Sustainability Report
The printed report featured information about current resource usage and future university plans for sustainable ventures. Through thoughtful copywriting and data visualization, AMF was able to tell the story of a university that is deeply committed to protecting the planet.
